The only thing missing from Celtic’s continuing absolute domination of Scottish football this season has been the anticipated comprehensive skelping of Rangers.

I don’t know how long Jota will be out, but neither does The S*n.

I expect a string of editorials in the newspapers over the next few days condemning Celtic for accepting “Blood Money from The Saudis” or other such hyperbolae.

The next few months, if all goes well on the recruitment front, could see us dominate Scottish football like never before, and build on our European rejuvenation this season.

A number of years ago, the campaign slogan was “twenty’s plenty”. I believe that is still very much the case.

We are Champions. No number of crayon-crafted editorials in the Rangers-loving press can take away from that.

Even from that vast height, with Tokyo Bay off to one side, and Mount Fuji on the other, inconceivably, I still couldn’t see “The Rangers coming”.

No Celtic title win will ever be “tedious”. No trophy day celebration will ever feel like overkill.

Scottish football is, at times, tedious, boring and uninspiring, but it’s got nothing to do with Celtic.
