UNION BEARS CONTINUE GREEN BRIGADE COSPLAY, WITH HILARIOUS RESULTS

Not even a superhuman could see The Rangers coming at this point.
Not even a superhuman could see The Rangers coming at this point.

You know, I thought that maybe after I made my wee jibe at them yesterday, that those staunchest of the staunch Rangers supporters, The Union Bears, might have developed a wee bit of self-awareness.

Much as the club they follow tries desperately, yet fails, to pay homage to the once powerful and dominant football team that was Rangers (Requiescat in Pace), they too seem trapped in a spiral of attempted imitation, and subsequent failure, when it comes to their attempts to copy The Green Brigade.

Their latest embarrassment comes via their planned “demonstration” outside Ibrox for next weekend. Personally, I think they”ll be doing well to match the queue that their brethren formed outside Bonnie”s “Bang Bus” last weekend.

As disgusting as it may be, unlike their idols on the park, at least the sad individuals who waited in that line actually scored!

Latest Union Bears Tribute to The Green Brigade Comes in Form of Plagiarized Flyer

The Union Bears, once again presuming to speak for the entirety of the Rangers support, without so much as a hint of consultation, distributed a flyer online today that was a blatant copy of the design that has been deployed by The Green Brigade since at least the end of last season.

The visage of manager Russell Martin and CEO Patrick “Paddy Bhoy” Stewart with the Ghostbusters style red circle and diagonal line of erasure across them is about as original as most of the Union Bears’ Lego-crafted tifos, though admittedly, slightly more legible.

Credit where it's due, if the Union Bears keep going at this rate, they might even master multiple syllable words and joined-up writing before the end of this decade.

Anyone who watched Celtic’s game against Kilmarnock on Sunday will have seen an identical banner, with the faces of Peter Lawwell, Michael Nicholson and Dermot Desmond emblazoned upon it.

I guess we should be flattered that the Union Bears turn to us, their intellectual and genetic superiors, for guidance in their hour of need.

One can’t help but laugh though, at the idea that an “ultras” fan group, whose mantra is “No Surrender” haven't just surrendered to their enemies, they are actively copying their tactics in a desperate attempt to gain attention.

It is as funny as it is pathetic.

They say “you shouldn't mock the afflicted”. Though when it comes to these idiotic, fascist mutants, they just make it so easy
