UNION BEARS TRY TO COPY CELTIC FANS AGAIN, THEY WON’T BE HAPPY WITH WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

They say imitation is the greatest form of flattery. However, if ever there was any doubt that The Union Bears have become little more than a Fascist, Wish.com rip-off of the Green Brigade, then their latest statement sealed the deal.
The Green Brigade, as indeed is the case with all concerned Celtic supporter groups, have, since the inception of the current Celtic fan movement for change, acted through consensus. They are part of a statement that includes the signatures of more than 500 fan groups. There is no individual group leading the charge, it is a democratic process.
They’ve listened, and understood that they do not speak for the entirety of the Celtic support. They know the importance of cooperation and compromise to the success of this Celtic fan movement.
Union Bears Release Statement Clearly Modeled on Celtic Fans', but Lacking in Several Crucial Areas
Meanwhile over at Ibrox, the Union Bears have, ironically enough, shown us all the utter disunity that infests their fanbase.
Their angry, barely coherent tantrum of a statement, demanding the immediate removal of a manager who has only been in the job a matter of weeks, and a Chief Executive, who, unlike the Celtic Board, has actually left the football people to get on with their job, and backed the manager financially, shows their naivety, their sense of entitlement and, ultimately their sheer stupidity.
The Celtic fan’s statement made it clear that we want change. However, we also made it clear that we will engage in positive dialogue with the current board, if they are willing to do so. That’s how these things work. Of course, there was Sunday’s protest at Rugby Park, and the promise that further action will follow if the board don’t engage with fans in good faith.
The Union Bears have, in typically fascist fashion, made it clear they are not interested in discussing, only dictating.
Basically, they’ve come out and said “do what we say now, or else!”
Sorry Bears, but that’s not how the real world works. Unlike your latest “celebrity fan”, Bonnie Blue, Andrew Cavenagh and company won’t drop to their knees at a moment’s notice to satisfy your whims.
What the Union Bears forget is that the current leadership in the Rangers boardroom have only been in place for a couple of months.
Again, this isn’t like Celtic, where barring the occasional shuffling of the chairs in the boardroom, the makeup of the club’s senior leadership hasn’t really changed in decades.

The new owners of Scotland's newest club aren’t going to take kindly to having their authority challenged so soon after investing significant sums into a loss-making business to try and turn it around.
To capitulate in the face of such a statement, especially from a group as petulant as the Union Bears would completely destroy their authority.
And let’s not forget, this new regime has already had to discipline the Union Bears on a number of occasions for their racist, bigoted and, at times, violent behavior.
In fact, this statement will, I think probably have the opposite of the intended effect. Any chance there was of Russell Martin being removed from post any time soon is now out the window.
The Rangers Board can’t be seen to kowtow to fringe groups like this, especially ones with a record of past aggression and bad behavior.
You don’t reward a child throwing a tantrum, as it only encourages further tantrums.
Russell Martin will probably be at Rangers until at least January now, unless he chooses, like so many Rangers fans did well before the end of Saturday’s game, to walk away.
Celtic’s movement for change will succeed, because we are patient, we are open to listening and cooperating.
We know this is a long-haul. The likes of Peter Lawwell and Michael Nicholson may well end up leaving Celtic, but it won’t be the next few days, because, for the same reasons as Rangers won’t sack their manager, our board are equally stubborn and won’t want to be seen to cave in to fan pressure.
Above all else, this new Celtic fans movement is diverse, democratic and fluid in its nature.
The average Union Bear, not knowing what these terms actually mean, would probably dismiss them as “woke nonsense”.
And that is why this statement will succeed only in adding further to their already seething, impotent rage.
